study plan

Based on the  v2.0 content, my study plan  is as follows :
1.      L2/L3 network infrastructure to support WLANs
2.      Infrastructure Application Services
3.      Autonomous deployment model
4.      Unified deployment model
5.      WCS
6.      WLAN Services

I anticipate that I should be able to complete topics 1 and 2 within a reasonable time however it will not be the same for topic 3.
The only experience with AAP I had in the past was to convert them to lightweight through the upgrade tool.As the experience not at expert level,   I know section 3 will nee bit of attention. Wonder why autonomous is still part of the syllabus? At  the enterprise level don’t know anyone who still uses autonomous APs.  As part of the AAP prep work, I will start digging deep into ACS/CA during so hopefully I will be able solidify the concepts when I’m studying the unify model. Typically I don’t handle ACS, ISE, AD and CA side of things and thus weak on these topics.

Unified deployment closely relates to my day-to-day work. However, mastering all the sub-topics to the CCIE level will require considerable amount of time. Also may have to get rack access to play with 6500s and VSS.

WCS..Don’t think this is as challenging as the other topics nevertheless I will have to cover all sub-topics detailed in the blueprint.

Last not least WLAN services will be interesting and a topic area I like.

It’s a good thing ISE is not part of v2.0!!!

The Journey Begins
